Understanding the New Zealand Visa Medical Exam

Our medical center specializes in health assessments for individuals applying for a New Zealand visa. Our medical team ensures that each evaluation fully complies with the health standards set by New Zealand immigration. The New Zealand medical test typically includes a physical examination, chest X-rays, blood tests, and other specific tests depending on the visa category and the applicant’s age and health history.

New Zealand Visa Health Examination Procedures

During the health examination, our medical team will assess various health aspects. This may involve:

  1. Physical Examination: Assessment of your height, weight, eyesight, and general physical condition.
  2. Laboratory Tests: Blood tests for infectious diseases and other conditions as required.
  3. Radiology: Chest X-rays to check for tuberculosis and other respiratory conditions.

How to Prepare for a Medical Examination?

  • Bring original valid passport or Pakistani English National Identity card.
  • Bring required fees for medical examination in Pak Rupees (Debit/Credit card payment facility is available).
  • Please arrive on time:
    • Please arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
    • Arriving earlier may lead to extended waiting as you will be entertained at your scheduled time.
    • Arriving later than your scheduled time may necessitate rescheduling.

Good To Know

  • Only applicants are permitted to enter the medical examination area.
  • Avoid wearing unnecessary jewelry and bringing in large bags.
  • As per embassy guidelines, applicants are advised to dress appropriately. Please be informed that during the physical examination, individuals will be required to undress up to their underwear.
  • Mobile phones or any electronic device are not allowed.
  • For following applicants, one attendant can accompany to assist:
    • Applicants less than 15 years of age.
    • Applicants more than 60 years of age..
    • Differently abled applicants.

Notes for Pregnant Females

  • Upon arrival at WilCare, female applicants should inform staff in case they are pregnant.
  • INZ does not recommend x-ray exposure during pregnancy.
  • Pregnant applicants may be required by INZ to undergo a chest x-ray examination after giving birth, should they apply for a further visa for New Zealand.

After the Medical Examination

Once your medical for New Zealand visa is complete, the clinic will submit the health case electronically.
